If you have a business that you want to market in a number of areas, you may struggle to do so with just a few pages on your website. Ideally you need to create mini sites as such for each location you wish to target to give you the best opportunity to do so, but this is not always possible.

Many companies have now started to create location based pages within their current site to improve the rankings in these areas. For example, if you wanted to target Northampton, Wellingborough and Milton Keynes you might create a new page for each one. Each page should be unique in terms of the content and the URL should be SEO friendly such as example.co.uk/example-Milton-Keynes.

When targeting areas you need to make sure that you have enough content on each page to target that area on Google. Some smaller areas may be easy wins, but for larger areas where competition is fierce you may need more than just one page.
